CCW Training

This class is for students whose initial CCW application was submitted prior to Jan 1, 2024. If you applied after Dec 31, 2023 you are required to take the 16 hour Initial class.
State-mandated training for the Initial issue of a CA CCW permit.
You will need:
- All Firearms you wish to have on your permit.
- 100 rounds for the first gun and 50 rounds for each additional gun.
- Your approval email.
- CA driver's license.
Non-member range fees $20.

The first 2 Firearms are included, each additional Firearm is $25
All Firearms must be registered to you in CA
State mandated renewal class for a San Diego County, CA CCW permit.
You will need:
- All Firearms you wish to have on your permit.

State mandated class for San Diego County CCW permit. You must have been approved to take class by Sheriff's Department. You will still be required to signup and complete Day 2 to be certified. You must bring your firearms, magazines, holster, sturdy belts and snap caps ( fake bullets ) for the caliber of your firearm.
IMPORTANT - YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR TWO CLASSES SEPARATELY
DAY 1 AND DAY 2
State mandated class for San Diego County CCW permit. You must have been approved to take class by Sheriff's Department. You will still be required to signup and complete Day 2 to be certified. You must bring your firearms, magazines, holster, sturdy belts and snap caps ( fake bullets ) for the caliber of your firearm.

- 50 rounds per gun.
- Your CCW permit.
- CA driver's license.

Pre-requisite course is the Practical Pistol/Holster Workshop. See Instructor for waiver of course. CCW Skill Builder Class covers all aspects of CCW skills in a dynamic outdoor range class. Different drills each month to help you learn perfect and maintain the skills you need to prevail in a life threatening situation.
You will need:
- Firearm 150 rounds (minimum)
- Strong side holster and sturdy belt
- Mag pouches
- 3 Magazines
For Non-South Bay Rod & Gun members, Range fee is $25
Class is held at 1020 Marron Valley Road Dulzura, CA 91917 (Range # 1 )
You will learn techniques to significantly improve all aspects of your shooting and accuracy along with understanding the fundamentals of using your holster... placement, drawing and re-holstering. You will learn how to train effectively using the correct targets and distances in a cost effective efficient manner. You will need: firearms, strong side or appendix holster, sturdy belt, spare magazines and 6 Snap Caps.
